Palm Releases Windows-Based Treo

Microsoft, Palm and Verizon are about to launch Treo smartphone (Windows-based) in San Francisco. A press conference has been held to have an introduction about the Treo smartphone that has been in a buzz since several weeks. These companies did not provide any information about the topic in the press conference. Denny Strigl (Chief Executive Officer and Verizon’s President) and Bill Gates (Chief Software Architect) and Ed Colligan (Chief Executive Officer) are the main guests at this press conference.

As Palm alienated from the company (PalmSource Inc.) that is the creator of the Palm OS, fans and forecasters have been contemplating that Palm will finally convert into an unusual operating system retailer because of its PDA’s (Personal Digital Assistants) and smartphones. This rumor reached to its height when the public placed images of the unexpected Treo 700w smartphone which runs on the windows-based operating system. Since its beginning, PalmSource Inc. almost designed the handheld smartphone which was released in the market and is associated with the Palm OS.

According to Gartner Inc, Microsoft has created stable growth with its mobile OS and handheld retailers really transported more devices which are based on windows. As stated by Sam Bhavnani (Senior Analyst), the capacities of Microsoft to associate the windows-based mobiles with the enterprise software like Exchange creates an ideal logic for Palm which is attempting to break into the business market since a long time. Windows-based Treo established by Palm which also has the ability to make voice calls is regarded as the ultra-modern selling mobile instrument in the market. Due to the Microsoft’s support, IT managers may find it simpler to provide the instruments to their mobile operators as they can take a benefit of their awareness with the Microsoft’s products.

The operating system of the Palm had been suffering from a tentative future with the buying of PalmSource by a Japanese mobile company (Access Co. Ltd) in June. It was decided to change its base to Linux for the upcoming editions of operating system. The Treo smartphone has maintained its position in the market but have a tough competition with the Motorola which also runs on the windows similarly like a Treo mobile smartphone.

The other main selection of OS for the smartphone is created by Symbian Ltd which is to some extent possessed by Nokia Corporation. The operating system of Symbian Ltd is the topmost operating system of the smartphone in the world and is very prominent among Japan and Europe where the networking of smartphones are more superior as compared to the United States.

Therefore, Palm has made a great technology for the smart mobile phones and also has improved its performance and functionality by adding many new features.

Palm Tungseten T3

In the world of handheld computing, nothing goes in the manner as it is planned. Things sometimes happen in very strange manners. Recently, Sony has given authorization to the operating system of Palm for their handhelds. It means that Sony rely on Palm for their products. If we consider the other side then we will find that Sony in that company who has developed and added few things to their handhelds with Palm operating system like multimedia capabilities, high resolution screens etc. and by doing this Sony has made Palm to depend on it, at least for innovation. Even then Palm is better at implementation than Sony. This relationship can be considered as the perfect symbiotic relationship.

The latest innovation, Tungsten T3 from Palm can be considered as the perfect example of the skill with which Palm has improved whatever trick it has learnt from Sony. There is not even a single PDA from that has a rectangular layout of the screen. Palm has always used a square layout of 160 x 160 pixels for its PDA’s. Square screen doesn’t seem to be in vogue anymore. This is why the Palm has decided to use a rectangular layout for its Tungsten T3.

It is pretty inconvenient to keep such a big handheld in pocket. To solve this problem, Palm decided to give a sliding factor to the new Tungsten T3. This slider has already been used in its previous handheld, the Tungsten T. Finally Palm got the solution. The company created a standard size Tungsten T and then it simply stretched the TFT display and had given a slide-revealed space. Finally company launched its compact size, new style, high resolution hand held in the market. This new style Tungsten T3 handheld has a perfect crisp, sharp and bright screen display, which is much better than any other PDAs that are available in the market. Considering the size, then the dimensions of T3 are 2/3rd of iPaq 5545. The size has not made any difference to the high resolution display. T3 offers 320 x 480 resolution pixels in contrast with the 240 x 30 resolution pixels of the iPaq.

It gives a real smart statement to walk with it in a forum, slide its graffiti area, switch on the Kinoma player, and watch amazing quality movies like of DVD in true color broad display of your Tungsten T3.

Overall, the Tungsten T3 is a complete salivate stuff. Its size and slider factor is beyond just stylish. You can make it yours at an approximate MRP of Rs.29, 900. It maintains a perfect balance between the multimedia features and productivity. It is surely a great product and gizmo aficionados will just love it.
