Asus EAX1650XT 256MB

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

On one side where everyone was expecting the ultimate end of X1600 series, the ATI launched its new EAX1650 and has surprised everyone. With this latest gem in series, the company has proved the truth that genius can not get everything and every time. Though genius can develop good quality motherboards, excellent graphic cards and are having good skill to incorporate many more features, but numbering a card is just not their pick. Its proof is just here.

The EAX1650 is an entirely different style core as compared to 1650 Pro and is pretty much better as well. It has the RV560 core. But on considering the physical dimensions and arrangement, it appears to be a dismal version of RV570, the core of 1950 Pro. It supports almost double the number of pixel pipelines that was offered by 1650 Pro.

The EAX1650XT supports 8 vertex shaders, 24 pixel shaders and a 128-bit storage memory bus having 256 MB of GDDR3. It supports a couple of dual-link DVI outputs, HD/TV output, HDCP support, and some new Crossfire connectors down the top.

The X1650XT supports a dynamic all-copper cooler that performs its work up to expectations, but one fact that it shows is dual-slot design and requires more power than X1650 Pro.

The Asus EAX1650XT graphic card comes bundled with power cable, Video Cable, DVI-VGA connector, GTI CD of Racing games, Driver CDs, user manual, CD/DVD case and Printed manual.

Performance:

The performance of this card is much better than any other card with which it is compared. As the card is kept under 1650 series, everyone has expected more out of it in respect to the performance. Well, it can give you expected performance more or less like 7900GS. As it is very much closer in performance to 7900GS, you will not be having much trouble in that.

Conclusion:

This graphic card EAX1650XT 256MB from Asus is surely a big hit in the 1650 series. You can grab this hit at an approximate market price of 10,500, including warranty for three years. This is pretty expensive than 7600GT, but this graphic had released few months ago and was great hit in the market. But for now, it is going to be the time of EAX1650XT. So just go and grab it, you will surely not be disappointed.

Asus introduces Water Cooling Facility for New Graphic Card

Wednesday, April 11th, 2007

Asus India has launched a brand new graphic card, “EN8800GTX AquaTank”. The main attractive feature of this graphic card is water cooling technology.

According to the company this all-in-one water-cooled module graphic card has an ability to push the presentation by 11 percent, and even then it remains 12oC cooler as compared to the generic GF8800GTX cards.

The Component Business, Product Manager of India, Vinay Shetty says that the increased strength of GeForce 8800GTX graphics processor, arise the requirement of an effective cooling process. On full load, the GeForce 8800GTX video card through stock cooling can stand a temperature around 80o C. The only thing that is not worthy is the long run capacity, especially if you look to overclock the GPU.

“The main target here is the cooling system. The company has chosen another effective method for cooling of an overclocked card. The Asus has followed a simple technique and has combine EN8800GTX and 8800GTX video card with water cooling system. This device from Asus is going to give the best performance than any other graphic card having water cooling feature, said Shetty”

According to the company, the stringent high quality and pre-sorting technique checks on boards make sure that the EN8800GTX AquaTank/HTDP/768M can tolerate the high clock speeds. With this ultimate water cooling facility, the users can enjoy around 11 percent more rapid graphic performance than the standard GF8800GTX graphic cards.

Other than this magnificent facility, the all-in-one water-cooled AquaTank module supports the GPU to execute at lower temperature of about 12oC as compared to thermal module devise. Unlike traditional exterior water cooling solution, this device fits perfectly into the typical PCI slots inside the framework that protects delicate interior space of the PCs.

The AquaTank is having a minute liquid cooling module that includes an 8mm wide waterblock. The fluid flows into the card with the help of a small pump of 12V DC and survives for 40,000 hours. In this system the refilling of liquid is requisite after every 10,000 hours utility.

The speed of fan offered by cooling system is about 3000 RPM. The system also supports a fan speed controller.

On comparing this system with normal GF8800GTX core of executing power 575 MHz, you will find that the AquaTank/HTDP/768M core of EN8800GTX runs at a radiating 630 MHz. the memory on normal GF8800GTX is executed at 1.8 GHz, whereas on EN8800GTX AquaTank/HTDP/768M, it runs at 2.06GHz.

This amazing cooling facility EN8800GTx Aqua/tank/HTDP/768M by Asus is available through the distributors of the company at an approximate cost of 47,700.
